What a deal!

What a week! We had Micah's birthday party on Saturday. We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family. Everyone was very generous to Micah, despite the fact that I told them in the invitation not to bring a gift, we just wanted to see them! Yep, you got it, nobody listened. He was showered with wonderful gifts of trucks, a bus, leap frog, clothes, chairs, puzzles, books, pool/bath toys, sand box toys and much much more. He really enjoyed his cake! It was really the first time we have allowed him to get messy like that, so he was unsure, but soon figured it out. Afterwards we were cleaning him up and OH NO, he had a rash on his body - anywhere that the frosting touched him. Great I thought, happy birthday to him, he is going to have to make a trip to the ER for an allergic reaction. Thanks to having Dr. Moose at the party, I was assured that this was common and a little benadryl and time and he would be good to go. To true, he wasn't even fazed so that was wonderful. After the party, he took a healthy 3 hour nap!! He was pooped, but he had a blast seeing everyone and showing off his new ability to walk. Crawling is still much faster, but walking works into his master plan from time to time!

Just when we thought his birthday was over, we got a phone call last night. Someone was going to bring over another gift for him. Hummm, what can it be??? Surprise!!!!!

Micah has a new hot rod!!! It a brand new pedal car!! The neighbors were over at the time of assembly and they threatened to post speed limit signs on the sidewalk because it looks like will go so fast! Big thank you to Mike!! I am guessing this will give us many hours of freedom from having to entertain Mr. Micah! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!
