Busy Busy Weekend!

Wow, what a busy weekend we had! Friday night we went to Renner SD to the watch some friends of ours daughters, Bina and Rylie race go karts. It was awesome to say the least. Both the girls did really well so that helped too! Micah really enjoyed them as well, he stood there clapping and cheering the entire time! It was great to see them all and we hope to get an opportunity to see them again soon! Craig of course is already plotting in his head for the future Micah go kart! Time will tell I guess. It isn't something I am against by any means, but with the expense of it, we would want to make sure Micah wants to do it. Who knows what he will want to do when he gets older.

Saturday, Micah and I got up and went to Sioux Falls. It was supposed to be a park date with our friend, Lori and her 3 children but due to the rain it became a mall date. Small vent: Why on earth would the mall clean the carpets for the play area on Sat. morning? DUH!! Do it during the week when there is less traffic. Needless to say, we walked around the mall and ate dinner before the kids got to play but it worked out fine. It was wonderful to visit with Lori and have the chance to catch up. We have known each other since our college days so things have changed alot in our lives! The kids had a blast playing together that was fun to witness!

We had a monumental moment in Micah's life Saturday afternoon!! He had is first HAIRCUT!! We were prepared with treats and camera in hand worried that he would freak out! Much to our surprise, he really didn't care! He sat there like a champ and let the barber do his work. Granted, the barber had to chase his head around as he was trying to look at the scissors and the trimmer, but for the most part Micah did awesome!! It was a sad moment to see all of his curls gone, but he needed it!! He looks so grown up!! I really had to take stock and realize that my baby isn't a baby anymore, he is true little boy! It is sad, but really exciting! He is such a little person and he has such a great personality! What a champ! (Yes I saved some curls for his baby book!)
