Micah is moving up in the world!! Yesterday, Craig and I went to Sioux Falls. He had a dr's appointment to have his foot looked at and we decided to take advantage of the time without Micah so we did some shopping as well! First of all, Craig's foot is ok. The doctor thinks he sprained some muscles, tendons, ligaments etc between his toes that run along the front of your foot. He has to do therapy for a few weeks to see if it gets better. If it doesn't, the next step will be an MRI to see if he tore anything or has a stress fracture of some sort. How is injury occured you ask! He was on a ladder, he missed a rung and he caught the next rung with all his weight on just the outside of his foot (pinky toe area). He has been fighting this for some time!
After the doctors appointment we hit the stores!! We bought a new table for our telephone - this will go in our dining room, we FINALLY purchased our verticle blinds for our living room/dinning room! WOWZERS, those things are spendy!!! We of course had to special order them, but I figured that was fine, waiting a few more weeks won't kill me! We also bought all new pillows for our house! This is quite the ordeal!! I have never really bought pillows, I know I know - you are supposed to replace them right!! But, we haven't and it was time!! Who would have thought there were so many to pick from!!! Crazy! We did manage to get some, of course we had to add one additional pillow to our house because Micah got a BIG BOY BED!! We bought it because we figured it was time to get him out of his crib. I must admit, it makes me a little sad to see him make these changes. He isn't a baby anymore but guess what, he will always be my baby right!! He made it through the first night no problems, we will have to see how long it takes him to figure out he is free!! I don't think he realizes it yet, but I am sure once he does we will be in trouble!! haa.. Check out the video, he was so excited to have "Mouse" on his bed, I think that helped make it an exciting change for him!! I will keep you posted on how he does!
Here are a few pictures!
Micah thinking, "What is it dad?"
Mom, can't you see we are working? Enough pictures already!
Men at work! Testing out the new comfort!!
Having fun moving and grooving on his new bed!
Another Change for Micah is that we recently took his tray off his high chair and we have been pushing him up the table so he can eat like a "Big Boy" - Yes that phrase has been said alot lately!! haa.. He is really getting a kick out of it! He is getting the hang of the silverware thing!

What a BIG BOY! Loved the video! I also thought the pictures of Micah "helping" put the bed together were CUTE :)!
What a big boy! It is sad though isn' it?? I mean, you want them to grow and develop independence, but you also want them to stay little. I was so sad to put away the crib for the last time with Siri. I will never use it again...until grandkids that is...and that is a LONG way off!! It's funny when they do discover that they are "free." Hopefully it takes Micah a while and he stays in bed for you!!
Oh.My.Goodness. A big boy bed?? I am NOT ready to have Caymen in a bed. I think I am going to keep her in her crib until she can crawl out of it. She loves, loves her crib!
MICAH-you are such a sweetheart!!!
Sorry to hear about your husbands foot. Hope it gets better soon.
Sounds like you had a successful shopping trip.
I'm crying can you tell?? Micah in a big boy bed and eating with his own fork..next thing you know he'll be going to school..He is growing up before our eyes, but Tess their always our babys.
Sorry to hear about Criag's foot hope it get well soon.
Wow! He really is becoming a big boy. Its kind of nice to be able to read your blog and know what I have to look forward too, but it also makes me sad. I was crushed when I had to cut off Colter's curls, but I too realized he will always be MY baby.
I feel sorry for my daughter-in-law someday! :O)
