This weekend we attended the yearly DSU homecoming parade. I thought the parade was a very nice parade. The main thing that struck me was the size of the bands across the board. Wow, I can remember seeing bands march that were triple the size of the bands that were there. I find that sad, I always enjoyed being in band and I think it is a shame that people aren't experiencing that any longer. I thought they were very good despite the size. Micah sure liked the bands, he was busting a move! Him and his music I tell ya. It will be interesting to see if that holds or if he isn't interested as he gets older. Micah collected enough candy to choke a horse but his favorite thing of all was a very pretty purple bead necklace! Yes, Yes, Yes I know.. Boys and necklaces - hummmm.. Haa.. He loves it, he is still playing with it. He will look at you and say, "My Necklace.... My Faaaavorite!" Ha.. What is a mom to do?
Mr Cool Dude, Favorite Purple Necklace and all!! After the parade, Craig and Micah decided to mow the yard. Micah loves to ride on the mower! Afterwards, Craig decided to wash the mower. Yes, he washes our mower, stop laughing! LOL
He was finishing up when Micah pulled up on his bike. The next pictures are what took place next. I guess you can say daddy is training him right!! LOL.. I thought it was very cute to watch!
I even got in on the deal! Craig's comment when he snapped this picture, "Now that is a good woman right there!" What a goof ball..We also tore out a fence in our front corner. It was falling apart to be honest, so it was time! It didn't take long to take it out!!
On Sunday, Craig decided it was time to do a little tree trimming! Micah was big winner in this adventure! He got a ride in the bucket truck!!! He did pretty well, he didn't mind it at all! Maybe, just maybe he will turn out to be my little dare devil and want to ride roller coasters with mom!! One can only hope right! LOL
GOING UP!
OH Crap, that ground is getting pretty far away!
Hi MOMMY!!! Look at us! Like Father like Son!
After the days adventures on Sunday, Micah wasn't acting quite right. Sure enough, I took his temp and he was running a fever. He was cranky and stubborn the rest of the night! He woke up in the middle of the night and he was running about 101. More Tylenol for him along with some cuddles and leg rubs in mommies chair and he was sleeping. (that only took an 1 1/2) - When he got up Monday morning, he was still running right around 101 when the meds wore off. He had a stay home with mommy day. He was really a slug, he didn't really do anything all day. He just wanted to sit in the chair with me and cuddle. I had no problem with that! I just don't like him feeling under the weather. He was still running a little fever during the evening, but he started to perk up and he actually ate some supper which was great! He also decide he had to paint!! I thought to myself, why not! Nothing better for recovery than a little artwork! It must have done the trick because he wasn't running a fever this AM and he is back at daycare. Must have been just a little bug of some sort. Who knows!
This week we don't have much planned. I am sure something will come up but who knows, we might take it easy! Do you really think that is in our vocabulary? Take it easy??? Hummm.. Have a great week and I will post again soon..
