We had a pretty crazy week/weekend last week. Wednesday Craig and I went to Alcester and wired up my cousins house, hung her fixtures etc. We had planned on doing that over the weekend but plans changed and we had to get it done earlier. Thursday we took off to NE for Craig’s grandmothers funeral which was on Saturday. We arrived in Omaha about noon and decided to take Micah to the zoo for the afternoon. He loved it! His favorite animal of all was a small little seahorse.. Crazy kid! For some reason he liked the sea horse and JUST had to buy a stuffed one at the gift shop! LOL He also liked the penguins and Monkeys. After that we drove to Harlan and Sandy's for the night. We made a pit stop at Valentino's for supper and that was very yummy!! Friday we took it easy at the folk's house and later that evening, we took off to the family visitation for Grandma Hazel. Got home late and got up early on Saturday to get to Talmage, NE for the funeral. We came home Saturday night but didn't get home until about 10:30PM. Micah was wiped out.. Got up Sunday AM, took it easy and headed to Sioux Falls for Sesame Street Live (AKA… Elmo.. ) Micah had a blast.. He was in awe at first.. When they first came out, his face was priceless.. He was wide eyed and in shock I think.. He had a very good time.. He even managed to turn on the water works when daddy told him no, he wasn't going to get a $8.00 Elmo balloon! You will see who one in the pictures I post! He is still talking about Grover falling down (He did on purpose!) and Big Bird being tall! I would say he had a great time! One another note, We did receive some sad news while we were in NE. Craig's best friend from high school, Jason (He was in our wedding). His little brother, Jeff was killed in a motorcycle accident in Omaha last Tuesday. They had his funeral on Saturday, which would have been Jeff's 21st birthday. Well, we didn't get to go the funeral because of Hazels funeral, but we did make it to the reception to pay our respects. Everyone seemed to be doing well considering. Faith is great and they are all very strong in their faith. You can tell that is what was holding them up during this trying time. Our thoughts and prayers are with them all. That is all for this post. I have much more to say, but to be honest, I am kind of grumpy today and I try not to type much when I am grumpy. I tend to regret what I say! :) Talk to you soon! I will post pictures soon..
