Ho Hum, where to start.. First of all I will say we have been keeping ourselves out of trouble! Craig has been very busy at work so almost every Saturday he has been working. I don't mind this because as we know these days job security is HUGE and he is very thankful to have the work. He informed me last night that he will be working every Saturday until our trip to Vegas. Which is only a few weeks away!! Crazy, I know! Seems like yesterday we were discussing where we wanted to go and soon we will be going. We are extremely excited for our vacation! I am certain we will be ready to return home by the time it is over, but it will be a much needed break from the real world! We have some of our plans in order but we are more of a wing it type of family. We have ideas of what we want to do, but really no agenda per day or anything like that. We do know we are driving to the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon day 2 of our trip. This is one of Craig's "Must see before I die" stops, so we are making that happen! I will of course have lots of posts about our trip when the time comes..
Last Thursday, I went rummaging in Sioux Falls for the annual Kingswood Rummage Sales. Dana and I go every year and have always had great success. This year was no exception other than the core area which used to be packed full of houses selling goods, was pretty scarce this year. Our plan of attack seems to work well so we won't be changing that anytime soon! NOPE not going to share our little secrets with you either! All I know is that rummage sales are a true blessing for the 0-4 kids! You definately can go bigger and I will try, but it does seem that some clothes are hard to find after a certain size, especially boys!! All in all it was a great day and we had a lot of fun. My biggest score was a Diego BackPack/Suitcase that Micah will be taking on the plane with him. He was SOOOOO excited when he saw it. He has been attached to that thing ever since. I guess I owe a thanks to Dana for convincing me it was $2.00 and I should just splurge a little! haa..
Friday night we took the kids to the High School Play. It was the Trial of the Big Bad Wolf. They did a great job and it was very cute. Micah was petrified of this "Big Bad Wolf" prior to the show starting. I am not sure what that was all about, but he was actually shaking he was so scared. I think the term "BIG BAD" scared him. Strangest thing I ever did see I tell you. Anyway, he was fine once they got started. He made it through the entire thing and we managed not to have any meltdowns so I was happy! About half way through it he kept asking me, "Can we get out of here!" and for some reason he felt that he needed to take his shirt off. I have NO idea why and NO he didn't accomplish either of his tasks. All in all it was a good experience.
After the play we decided to take the kids home to stay with the dads and head down to a local bar to see a band called Power Play. Wowzers, they were awesome!! I do believe we will be making a point of seeing them again the next time they are here. I generally don't care for live bands, but these guys definately changed my attitude!
Saturday we headed to Sioux Falls. First stop was to purchase a new GPS system for our trip. Whew, shopping for techy stuff gives me a headache! I never know what the best route to go is. We eventually decided on a Garmin and I think we will be pleased. (At least I hope)
After that ordeal we took Micah to the circus! Oh boy did he love it! We took him last year, but I am pretty sure he didn't remember it. Everything was SUPERDUPER cool!! He was in love with the motorcycles on the tight rope, the animals and the pretty ladies! I figured he would be scared to death of the clowns but once again he surprised me by giving one a high five as we walked in! He the clowns were his bestest friends! To cute. Here are a few pictures of our circus adventure..

We went to the circus and a little boy behind me had one of those guns and I about owned myself a toy gun!!!!
Good luck with the home remodel!!!
You definately had a busy weekend! I think the same thing with Jay's job when he comes home really late (like 8 or 9 PM)....job security, not a bad thing! We went to the circus too. I didn't think it was as good as last year. The kids liked it though. I missed the Kingswood rummage sales this year. My kids are getting too old to buy clothes anymore. Actually they have been for years and I just don't find too many good sales anymore. It was great when they were babies!! Was that not the best race ever!!! Especially for me with Dale getting 2nd. It was a bummer that all those cars were out on lap number 7, crazy....and what and ending! Glad noone was hurt too bad! Have a good week!!
