Hello!! I know you are all wondering what we have been up to lately! I again apologize for the lack of posting. It gets away from me and then I feel guilty and seem to put it off more and more. I guess I just need to find a system that works for me. So.... On to the current events..
On July 4th we went to Ramona to the parade. This has become a tradition with our friends, Dana, Gary and family. We started going years ago and we have continued to attend every year. This year was by far the largest crowd in history. We couldn't believe how many kids there were!!! There were so many kids, we had to play mother hen and protect our children. They got plenty of candy of course, but I really have a hard time with those kids that can't stay in their area! Specifically when they are a lot older and come pluck the candy right out from under the little ones hands. That is my pet peeve at parades. Keep your kids where they need to be! Lucky for Micah and friends we had our neighbor girls next to us on the other side and good grief, I think they gave Micah more candy than he could pick up! It was very sweet and nice of them to help him out. I did try to explain to them that he wouldn't eat it so if they had a favorite, they really could keep it but they seemed to have just as much fun getting it for him! Thanks girls!
Here are a couple of pictures from the parade. They had a ball.

Of course Micah just HAD to take our picture! He is getting pretty good if I do say so myself! :)
Nothing like a little grass surfing to complete the day!!

Looks like a great 4th of July! I heard that parade was a lot of fun. I have the same pet peeve as you about the older kids. I have kids that are getting "older" and I am very careful that they are good to the little ones or they sit on their butts the rest of the parade and get no candy. I have no patience for that no matter who's kid it is...mine included! Luckily my boys are thoughtful about that kind of stuff and what candy they did grab they usually ended up handing out to some of the smaller kids around us, including their sister, shocking I know :)
