Catch Up

Oh how the time flies when you are having fun. I am sure you are wondering what we have been up to lately... Right? You are aren't you?? Hummmm.. Maybe I am losing loyal readers since I have been lagging in the posting department. I hope not as I love to hear from you all! Please accept apologies for the lack of posting once again, I need to get my bloggin groove back!

What have we doing? Well, we had little Ms. B's 5th birthday party on the 1st. It was a good time and the kids had a ball!! They not only had the chance to bust open a pinata, play pin the tail on the donkey, make some fun crafts and run around like only kids can, they also had cake! That is by far Micah's favorite thing to do these days. He loves going to parties for the cake!!

Gotta love remodels!!

On Wednesday the 5th I decided to take Micah to the new Outdoor pool in town here. He was pretty leery at first, but ohhh doggie, he ended up having a great time! He was in love with the slides of course but he also enjoyed just spending time with mom. Before long he was jumping off the side of the pool and simply enjoying being a kid at the pool. He enjoyed it a lot more than I thought he would. I think the last day the pool will be open is this Sunday, so I am not sure if we will get back again this year but we will def. have to get up to the Community Center pool this winter if nothing else.

Here is a picture of him I took before we left On the 8th we went to some friends of ours house warming party. They remodeled their home and they had everyone out to see it. What a beautiful job they did!! I love it and ohhh the space is wonderful!! The kids had a great time running around the farm, jumping on hay bales and playing in empty grain bins. When Micah and I arrived at the party, little Ms. B was sitting in a chair with ice on her arm, she had fallen and bumped it. She seemed to get over it and was playing with no problem, but during the night it was bothering her enough to wake her up. They took her to the ER and had Xrays etc, after a few people read it, they determined she had a fracture! So, poor babe has a cast for 3 weeks. Hasn't slowed her down a bit, but a cast none the less is no fun!

On the 9th I went to SF to get groceries. Fun Fun stuff.. I still can't believe how much it saves our household to go down there. You would really think that by lowering the local prices you would make so much more profit!! I guess I am not in that business, but it seems like common sense to me. Anyway, after I got home, Micah came out of his room and this is what he looked like!!

What a stinker..

Here is another picture of Micah. He has been spending quite a little time messing around in his little pool this year. He has learned how to hold his breath and put his head under water. He is pretty proud of that!!! Plus he can blow bubbles without choking on 1/2 the pool water!!

ON the 15th, Micah and I went to some friends of ours house. They have a "racing" party every year. We had a wonderful time socializing with friends and playing in the bean bag toss tourney! The tourney began at 4:30 PM or so and it didn't finish up until 11:00 PM!!! It was along night of playing and you are looking at 1/2 of the bean bag CHAMPIONSHIP team!! Kenny D was my partner and we did it!! We got to the finals and of course we had to do it the hard way by beating the other team twice! We managed to pull it off and beat them twice. This was quite the accomplishment since the beat us earlier in the tourney!! It was a lot of fun and Micah had a ball!! He did have a couple melt downs due to getting wet from the hose and/or buckets of water but 3 shirts later and a promise from his new BFF Dusty to get a ride in his race car and the world was perfect again. I am not 100% sure if Dusty knew exactly what him promising a ride to Micah meant to that little boy, but he will find out shortly. Since that Saturday that is all that Micah has talked about!! And the fact that Dusty mentioned he could possibly drive it, OHH BROTHER, that about sent Micah into orbit!! He is super excited and keeps asking when we can go visit Dusty! I have a hunch we won't be getting out of this one, I sure hope Dusty meant it!! :)

Well, that is what we have been up too. Other than that, the main word around our house is REMODEL! Craig has been busting his hump on our house and it is starting to look better. He has all the new windows in and almost all the house has Tyvek on it. Last weekend, Craig and Ryan, his brother worked about 24 hrs in a 48 hour time period. They were tuckered out but wow, did they accomplish a lot! I believe this weekend Craig is going to finish buttoning up the loose ends so he can start the siding process. I think it will be a little while before the starter strip goes on, but we are getting closer!! I am so excited to have it finished, but we have along ways to go before that is achieved!

On another note, please keep our friends Courtney, Justin and family in your thoughts and prayers. She is recovering from a very serious car accident and Justin is carrying what seems to be the weight of the world with worry and everything else you can imagine. She is healing and progressing in the right direction, but they still need your thoughts and prayers. It is going to be a long journey but with everyones support they will survive and overcome this near tragedy.
