What a week and weekend we had. Monday we had our trip to Acute care, Tuesday I had supper with the VB ladies, Wednesday night Micah and I had a date with the park! It was beautiful outside and we decided to take advantage! This week is supposed to be better so I am guessing we will make a trip to the park a couple of times! Here are a few pictures of the first visit to the park of 2010!
Thursday we had a reoccurance with the thumb issue. He woke up in the A.M. with it I guess and it went on the entire day and evening. Finally during supper I taped it up and that seemed to make it better. He couldn't bend the knuckle closest to the fingernail and that seemed to solve the issue. I have no idea what is going on but after the tape was on he was happy as a lark.
Thursday evening, Craig and I had a class for church so Micah was able to hang with his friends Lizzie and Wyatt + a few! He had a blast and loves loves loves going over there.
Friday night we were home and actually took it easy! It was great!
Saturday, Craig had code class all day for work so Micah and I hung out. We got his hair cut (Which he loves!) Jerry, the barber is his best buddy and they sit and chit chat the whole time we are there. It is fun to watch. After the barber we went to Lizzie's house again as Monica was having a scrap booking party. I have never been to one before and at first I was not really into it. I thought, "I don't have time for this" but then.... She showed the demo on the digital scrapbooking!! Oh brother, that perked my interest. I have officially ordered the software as I think it will be right up my alley. If anyone has ever used anything like it let me know! Saturday night we didn't do much either, everyone was a little tuckered out after the long day.
Sunday was church, church and more church. Micah woke up with a thumb issue again. After alot of convincing, I got him to straighten his hand out and he let me rub it after we put more tape on it. After a while he was much better, but I did notice all day he was favoring it and at times he would have a fist made and would be using his arm to hold things vs his hand. We just have to keep an eye on it. I have no idea what on earth is going on, but it seems to be coming and going. That makes things much harder to pinpoint.
In the afternoon we had an Easter walk at church for the monthly family adventure which was very cute, but way over Micah's head. It was just to advanced for his age. I guess we chalk it up to experience and know better next time. We also played outside for most of the day. The weather was perfect so Micah and I blew bubbles, he taught me how to play Hop Scotch and just hung out. Hop Scotch was pretty funny, I have no idea how it is really played (Craig made fun of our hop scotch squares!) but I figured as long as Micah was happy that it didn't matter! His most important rule was to "Get behind me!" that is what he kept telling me. He wouldn't go until I was right behind him! It was very cute and soooo Micah. Attention to details that is his thing! The objective of the game was to get "20" and then jump. It was really fun to be a kid again! :-) I think I better google hopscotch to see exactly how that is supposed to work! LOL
That was our week in a nutshell. I hope you all have a wonderful week enjoying the beautiful weather. IT is a short one as we have Friday off for Good Friday! YIPPI
