Easter Sunday & More

April 8, 2012 Easter Sunday

We had a great Easter this year.  We stayed in Madison and of course first things first! You have to find out if the Easter Bunny came.  Low and behold he did and of all things be brought Micah a sock monkey which was just what he wanted! He has officially been named, "Sockie" and resides in Micah's bed every night. He didn't have much time to play with him that morning as we were off to church.  It was a great service.  Micah had a wonderful children's service with Don B from Minneapolis.  He always does such a wonderful job for the kiddos.

 For dinner, Brandy and Ryan had invited us over for the day.  It was awesome and Brandy was such a wonderful host.  She made all the fixings and all we had to do was show up! How awesome was that!  We did bring the bunny cake that we made for dessert, but that was the easy part!
This picture is Micah sitting between to meat eating animals (AKA Ebeni & Declan). It was the funniest thing ever. Mr. I don't eat meat, sitting between two kids that were devouring turkey legs.  He gave me a scared face!

 Brandy put together an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids.  It was a beautiful day and they had a great time finding the eggs. Micah was thrilled to find mini Pokemon inside a few eggs.

We enjoyed the day just hanging out. Later in the evening they brought out a puzzle and of course we all started on it.  Before we knew it, it was far to late but the puzzle was complete!

On Monday, April 9th we watched Chase for a little while in the evening. Briana had a bowling banquet to attend and Chase had a lot more fun hanging out with us! They always have so much fun playing together you barely know they are here!

On Tuesday, April 10th Micah had soccer practice.  It was really cold that night but the boys didn't seem to mind.  He has the same players, Max, Tayten, Ian, Micah and they gained one more, Henry.  They have the same coaches, Aly and Devon and they are having a blast.  After practice, we had a little impromptu photo session at home.

On Thursday, April 12th, he had soccer practice again. They had them so they could get ready for their first game on Saturday the 14th.  There is no problem for us because Micah absolutely loves going to soccer!

Friday, April 13th, Micah had a Purple birthday party for little Ms. Anna.  He was a bit baffled by the purple theme and early on declared he was not wearing purple!  I quickly reminded him that he does have a purple shirt and he gave me a funny look like I was losing my marbles.  Of course it was his Minnesota Vikings Jersey!  He agreed that he would wear that shirt and help celebrate Anna's Birthday. They picked him up from daycare and he ended up having a fantastic time!

Saturday, April 14th, Micah had his first soccer game of the 2012 spring soccer season.  They played the gold team which is Josiah and Ben's team.  They did very well and had a lot of fun!  I got myself a new toy, a HD video camera!  I have been having a lot of fun with that and hopefully will get better at recording things as I do more.  It is pretty touch and go right now with the zoom in and out button!

 After soccer, we ran to Brookings and grabbed some groceries.  At Hyvee, they have these little carts and of course Micah had to try them out! He was quite the little shopper!

After groceries we went to Applebee's and ate supper.  It was great and a good time for Craig and I to visit!

We went to church on Sunday and then spent the rest of the day cleaning and hanging out.  It was some much needed time together!
