Day 8: Aleve!

Today I am thankful for Aleve! Putting together a extra bedroom is hard work! :-)

Craig and I have been working on our extra bedroom for quite a while.  He had some fixing to do to the sheet rock before we could do to much.  He did his repairs, pulled off the trim, painted and then reinstalled the trim.  We ended up painting the wall orange, yes orange.  That is way out of our comfort zone, but for some reason that is what my heart was set on. Here is a picture - wowzers!

We recently purchased an elliptical machine to put in the room so that is why the interest in getting it done.  We spent our free night without Micah putting that thing together as he stayed over night at the cousins house.  That was a chore and I hope we don't have to do that again anytime soon. :)
Well, what comes next? Of course - we needed a television! If you have a tv, you "have" to have something to put it on right!  So, new dresser as well.
We also had to decide what we were going to do for a bed. Beings the room is very small, we decided to go with a futon since 99% of the time we don't need the bed. For the record,  Micah has agreed that if it isn't very comfortable he will sleep on it and whomever can have his bed!
It has been a long haul finishing this room, but that is one more done!!  WHOOP WHOOP!  We decided to do a "world" theme to the room so I purchased a 6' x 30" tall white map of the world sticker for one wall and I made some homemade canvas type paintings of some of our Guatemala pictures.  Micah is also pushing for a white sticker of John 3:16 because he thinks that fits perfectly in the room. :)

Craig said it should be pretty easy to work out when you look at their faces all the time!  Doesn't take long to realize how much we have to be thankful for!
