Mission Accomplished - Day 3 Casa Angelina

Today was amazing in every sense of the word!  Our crew along with the Pennsylvania team had a plan to pour a pad for a new house.  I am not completely sure of the size, but we poured it in three sections. If one needs to see the process of how this takes place, feel free to read my day 2 details. All by the grace of God we finished the first pad by dinner time!  It was unreal how fast we were able to bust it out. Well, we decided, what the heck, let's move on to the 2nd pad which is the Harvest House (Iowa Team's).  Mind you that they told us if we started it we had to finish it and that might mean we would have to stay late.  Chad decided that we would rotate through lunch vs all breaking at the same time vs staying late.  We did that and it worked well, but we did stay late too which was perfectly fine because we finished it!  Two pads in one day all one wheel barrow dump at a time.

Ouch!
The worker bees - awesome people!
This is the aqua ponics pad that we poured yesterday. The welders had the trusses welded yesterday and they set them today!  Awesome progress. They hope to have the siding on and everything tomorrow! It is amazing the amount of things that are happening this week!

We are LOVING LIFE!
Genia and I after a long days work!
Today was a day of many things, but most of all today was a complete blessing.  I sat and thought many times today about how much physical labor has been done in the last two days.  If it was something we did on a daily basis it wouldn't be so profound.  It is a God thing and I really don't know how to explain it in any other way.  For some reason we are all closer to God while in Guatemala.  I do tend to get frustrated when I think about it because it just brings to the surface how distracted and unfocused on God we are when back home. I simply feel like this week we have a direct line to God vs the 800 line that goes to customer service.  He answers prayers and he makes things happen every single day but it is so different here.  How do I silence my mind and concentrate fully on God, that is my dilemma.  I go go go and do do do but am doing these things to glorify his name?  I can quickly say - yes to some, but not so much to others.  I see the changes that have taken place in these orphans lives and I realized, there is a lot of growing to do in all of us.

I am up way to late today because of a chit chat session but was worth it! Ask me in the morning and I might not think so! Hopefully tomorrow and we won't jump out of bed thinking we were late but then realizing we have an hour before the bus leaves!

I hear there is a snow storm headed our way tomorrow.  Prayers will be said that it will be far less than anticipated and will have not travel issues for airlines in the next few days!

If you would all say a prayer for Gloria, Craig's aunt.  She is fighting breast cancer and is having a hard time with the treatments. Please lift her up in prayer and we ask for her body to be fully healed and restored.  If you would also please add Harlan, Craig's dad to your prayers we would appreciate it. He has recently been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes and is in the beginning stages of what that all means as far as food and diet.  We pray they can control it with diet and that his  body will also be healed and restored.  One last prayer request, please pray for Micah as his missing us terribly but having a blast at the same time.  We Skyped with him tonight and he knows it is only 3 more days but is having some home sickness for his mom and dad.  Thank you all for your love and support! Love you!
