Another weekend gone! I can't believe how fast those 2 days go! I also am bummed to admit, we turned our heat on this weekend! I surely hope that we will get the chance to use our air conditioner again soon! It is 80 degress today - huge improvement from this weekend's frost! We had to dig out some warmer PJ's for Micah this weekend! I figured the shorts and t-shirt just weren't going to cut it!! He looks like such a big boy!! Growing up!
Saturday Craig worked in the AM, so Micah and I decided to make muffins and clean up the house a little. When Craig got home, we went to the airport for a ride!! It was awesome!! I am not so sure Craig shared my enthusiasim in the early stages of the flight, but it must have grown on him as we discussed going up for a second ride, but didn't do so. Micah didn't go up in the plane with us. I think he would have done fine, but he wouldn't have been able to see anything anyway because you have to wear a seat belt and he would have been to short so see out the window. (NO COMMENTS PEOPLE!! YES I could see out the window!) Haa.. He stayed on the ground with our friend Marsha. THANKS MARSHA!! We then hung out and watched a demonstration they had on a plane called Angel. It was really neat. They use that plane to fly into remote locations. It can take off in a few hundred feet and land in a few hundred feet. It was very impressive. Here are a few pictures of our day! It was sure nice to do something out of the normal routine of life
Sunday we did our normal household stuff. Craig mowed the yard w/ Micah's help of course. This time, he wasn't quite as much help as usual!! Yep, he fell asleep!! Of course as soon as I picked him up he was wide awake and wanted to ride more!! KIDS!
We did manage to watch some of the race! Proud to say Gordon got 2nd!! Oh yeah, Kenseth got 7th so Craig was happy too! It was a good day at the Nelson's! 9 more races to go!! Hopefully a championship is in the 24's near future! We will see!
That was the gist of our weekend. I hope everyone else had a great weekend too!! This week should be pretty calm. At least I hope so! Have a good one!

We were going to do those plane rides too but with shingling we just didn't have the time. Looks like that would have been a lot of fun!

I saw your pic in the paper and almost had a heart attack. Just thinking about riding in a plane causes me anxiety. You are much braver than I. And what is with you baking all the time. Are you becoming domesticated? LOL.
I have been baking a lot lately too. Must be something in the air.
Glad you guys made it safely back down to the ground.
Sounds like you guys had an exciting weekend! I have never been in a plane before. I bet it was fun to ride in that plane and see everything from a different perspective :)!
Love the picture of Micah sleeping while Dad mows the lawn...too cute :)!!
I hear ya' on the turning on the heat thing. We didn't but boy I wish we would have. On Saturday morning it was 56 degree's in our house! I seriously didn't want to get out of bed..BURRR!!! At least it's warming up some again..hopefully no heat will be needed until November now :)!
Have a great day!

I am not for one to go on plane rides in a TINY plane like that. I have NEVER been. Glad you had fun though!!
Cool pictures!!
We have a Wings and Wheels festival in our town every year, and last year my husband and then, 2yr old daughter took a flight in one of those little planes around our valley. I was NO WAY going to go. I only fly if I really have to to get to someplace far away. Otherwise, these feet don't leave the ground. :0) I'm gettting better at my fear since I had kids...don't want to pass on my phobia's.
I just read the post about your son's remote and phone fetish....I think my one year old daughter suffers from the same affliction. :0) Her sister did, too. In fact we think she threw our remote away when she was around a year old. Kids!
Thanks for visiting my blog. I love hearing from new people. If you don't mind, I'll come back and visit you again. We have children of similar age, and it's fun to see what other kids and babies are up to.
I cant believe the little stinker fell asleep on the mower! UHG! I hate that vibration! But wow what a cute pic! I dunno if I could fly! Honestly I've never flown and it really FREAKS me out! If Erik and I ever fly anywhere I will probably have to be drugged! lol. TTYL
I SO wanted to comment on the 'short' thing! You know your friends so well!! :)
Love ya!

LOVE that pic of Craig and Micah mowing the yard. Adorable!
I'm not one for small planes. They scare me. Eeek!
