Circus, Circus, Circus

We attended the Circus in SF yesterday afternoon. It went really well for the most part. It was 2 1/2 hrs long so Micah had a few moments of antzy pants but other than that he did well. He enjoyed the motorcycles inside the sphere the most I would say. He just sat and stared at that in amazement. I was concerned the noise would scare him, but Nooooo way, he loved it! He also liked the elephant, the clowns (at a distance of course), the tigers and lion. A cute story.. We were watching the tigers and then they brought the lion to the front. The trainer had put a snack out in front of him which made him jump a little forward. Micah jumped when the lion lunged forward. I think he thought the lion was going to grab the trainer. I guess he was really paying attention to what was happening!! It was very cute. Craig (ok mom really but let's blame it on dad!) decided that he had to have a light up toy! He got him a star shaped thing that spins and lights up of course it also sings! Oh yeah, he loves it!

After the circus we did some shopping. We were able to get Micah a few pairs of shoes and Craig was able to find work jeans and shirts. WE didn't get home until around 9:00PM and Micah was beat! He slept from 10 PM until 10 AM this morning!! He also took a nap at 1:00 PM for about an hour. I guess you could say we wore him out completely!

We have been waging a battle in our house with eating. Micah sure thinks he has a say in this matter!! haa.. He won't eat anything when it is dinner or supper time. He must be hungry enough in the morning because he really doesn't mind that. He won't even try it, he just pushes his plate away and says nooooo.. Any suggestions? I can't even say it is specific things, it is everything, even things I know he likes.. Fun fun stuff I tell ya!

You all have a good week.. We off to see grandma and grandpa Nelson this next weekend. Our nephew, Seth will be graduation from high school and he is leaving for the Marines. They are having a party for him that we are going to attend. Should be a nice weekend!

The circus looks and sounds like a lot of fun. I haven't been there since I was in grade school (many, many years ago)!

Have a great week Tess!!

Well it looks like you had fun at the Circus. I wish I could have went with Caden. I missed them up this way. Well I guess I will have to go next year.

Well for the eating. I know what you are going threw. Caden goes threw that ALL the time. He is under weight and I am tired of hearing that. All my mom tells me is that I did not eat much when I was a kid so do not worry about it. He will eat when he is hungry. Well to tell you the truth, she is right. This week Caden eats EVERYTHING in sight. Caden only weighs 33 pounds and he is going to be three in September. I have a little man in my house. I guess at least there is one that is little. Well anyway, just keep plugging away at the eating.

It looks like you have been really busy. So has Pat and I. With two funerals in one week and all three of us getting the flu in between the funerals. It has been a long two weeks and it is going to get better from here.

I think it is the age he is at. Marissa never ate when she that age. I guess just make sure he is drinking enough and when he does eat make sure it is filling for him. It will get better. :)

We went to the circus too. My kids really enjoyed it. Siri got the same toy, gotta love it!! Not eating at meals???? Hmmm....I used to give my kids chocolate milk if they would eat good. Plus it was the only way I felt they drank enough milk. It's been so long though, or at least it feels like forever ago that we had a toddler:)

I wish we would have went to the circus. I am waiting to take Caymen though because she loves to RUN! I can't keep her contained.

As far as eating...he will eat when he is hungry. I know it sounds harsh but it is sooo true.

What a fun toy! My parents would never buy me that stuff and I was crushed.

I haven't gone through the non eating stage yet, so if you do find a solution, let me know.

Hey Tess! I agree with the other comments - he'll eat when he's hungry! They definitely go in spurts for eating. When he has a growth spurt, you won't be able to get enough food in him!
