Hello! Again, I appologize for the lack in posts. It seems as if time has been slipping away from me and before I know it I haven't posted for a few weeks! I really enjoy the blogging business, so I will have to get back into the swing of things. Things are going well @ the Nelson household. We have been on the go as usual. On the 3rd, we headed south to NE for our nephew Seth's high school graduation/going away to the marine's party. We had a very nice time visiting all the family. Micah loved spending time with all the cousins and playing outside! We did have an episode on Saturday night with Micah's eyes. We figured with the pollen season being ahead of ours it was allergies of some sort (this was the first time he showed any signs of allergies of this kind). His eyes were red, pussy and irritated. We gave him benedryl and hoped for the best. Sunday when he woke up they were all mattered shut and he looked like he got into a boxing match! They were all red (the actual skin around the eyes) and they were all puffy like he had 2 shiners! They were really sensative to light and teary but we figured it would clear up. We stopped and bought some claritin for kids and gave that to him. It seemed to help a little bit. Monday we took him to daycare and he seemed to be handling it ok. When I picked him up after work, I was informed casually that 2 kids were out with a bacterial eye infection! WHAT???? Needless to say I called Micah's pediatrician ASAP and we got some drops for his eyes. We gave him those for 5 days and continued the claritin. Thankfully he is much better and the cold that produced this infection has gone away. All I can say about putting drops in a toddlers eyes is NO FUN!! Man alive If you were standing outside our door listening you would have thought we were torturing our child. He would see the eye drop bottle and start screaming!! So I am glad that is over. Here are a few pictures of the weekend in NE!
