Tomacelli's Pizza, the Zoo and more!

Another week gone! Where does time go these days? I can not believe it is the beginning of June! Before we know it our summer will be over and we will be staring down the snout of winter once again.
Last Friday, we actually stayed home! Craig mowed the yard while Micah and I played outside. Let me tell you, Micah LOVES being outside. Anytime you open the door, he is running for it! I enjoy being out there with him but we do get bored. I am trying to convince my hubby we need to purchase Micah a playsystem for the back yard, but I haven't succeeded quite yet. If not this year, we will have one next summer, even if I have to go pick it out myself and have it delivered!! LOL.. We have the yard for it so it will be nice when it happens.
Saturday, late morning, we met up with my friend, Dawn & her family. We ate at Tomacelli's pizza in SF. This was our first experience with this restaurant and I must say, we were very pleased! The pizza was really good and the service was excellent. It is on 12th street just East of Kiwanis in a strip mall. It doesn't look like much, but I give it a thumbs up!
After we ate, we went to the zoo. We couldn't have asked for a better day weather wise and it was great to see them! They are off to Hawaii in a few days for a 3 year tour of duty there. It was sure great to see them, and yes we would love to go visit them while they are there. I hope we will be able to swing it this time around. We missed our chance when they were in Germany, so hopefully we will be able to get there this time.
Here are a few pictures of the day:

Micah's favorite animal at the zoo!! If you ask him what he saw at the zoo, he goes "OH OH OH, while scratching under his arms like a monkey!" It is very cute!
Dawn, Juliann, Myself and Micah on the carousel. Right before Micah freeked out and wanted off!! He did manage to make through the entire ride, but it was rough going at first!

Sunday was a good day as well. I went to SF in the AM for groceries and some shopping. I managed to pick up and outfit for the wedding this weekend so I was super excited about that! What a relief to be able to find something. Sunday afternoon, Craig & Mike put a new windshield in my vehicle. We caught a rock on our last Nebraska chip and at first it was a chip, but grew into a crack right in front of me! Great! So, the boys put in a new windshield for me! It must have went well, it only took a few hours! Micah and I went to the park on Sunday evening with our friends Marsha, Chase & Briana. Micah loves to play with them and I think they all had a great time!!

Monday, I stayed home sick. I was up the entire night coughing and I was running a fever. I just needed rest and relaxation. I feel better today so that makes staying home worth it!

Hope everyone has a great week! If you haven't gotten out to vote yet, don't forget!!! Today is the day!! We can only hope the phone calls will stop for a while!! UGHH!

Sounds like you had a wonderful time with your friends this past weekend! Saturday was an awesome day weather-wise...so happy you guys were able to hit the zoo!

Sorry to hear you were sick Monday. Glad you are feeling better though!

Darn rock chips! We got one a few weeks ago too! Thank goodness it hasn't developed into a crack yet. We better have it fixed before it does though!

Rock chips...UGH!! Nothing makes me more angry than getting a rock chip while driving. We're helpless really because there is nothing you can do to prevent them.

Being sick...not so fun. Glad you are feeling better after a day of rest and relaxation! Everyone needs that every now and again. It's just too bad it takes us getting sick to be able to do it.

We haven't been to the zoo yet, other than zoo boo. We'll have to check it out! Glad you are feeling better and got a day to relax and get well. It sounds like your husband can do a little of everything!! I really need a new windshiled but we have to take it in to get it done. Tomacellis??? Hmmm??? I might have to try that! Now I'm hungry for pizza!
