Fabulous Friday!!

Happy Friday to everyone! This picture is one I snapped of Mr. Micah after his bath a little while ago. He said he was sleepy, wanted his "coat" aka towel and curled up and pretended to go to sleep. It was one of those cute moments. I have noticed lately his imagination is really starting to run wild!! His newest thing is, "Elmo pants! Pew!" He goes into his room, puts Elmo on the changing pad and we have to change his pants. He even wanted a shirt for him, so I dug through our newborn stuff and found something that works. It has been fun to watch. We will catch him babbling what we call nonsense and then out will come this story! It seems to happen more in the mornings so I am guessing it has something to do with dreams etc. He comes up with some dandy's! It is fun to listen to him and watch his expressions, he gets so serious!

Another thing we have noticed is his memory! He doesn't miss a beat and he remembers for a long time!! A few days after we went to Chuck E Cheese, Craig said he woke up in the morning and basically started talking about all the events of the day in SF. In detail and without missing a beat. Craig was in awe. Last night on the way home in the car we were listening to his "Elmo CD". Craig and I were talking, all of a sudden we noticed Micah was singing. Not just some of the words, all the words to the "Elmo Song", we sat there with our mouths hung open. He hasn't heard this song more than a dozen times and he had all the words down and he even had pitch!! I wish I could have video taped it, we were in complete awe.

Needless to say, we have been soaking in all the changes he has been making lately. We enjoy it all, the good and bad. It is a constant challenge and adventure raising a child. We can only do the best we can to love and support them and hope that everything turns out in the end!

This week has been action filled. Tuesday night Micah and I went to the Bulldog's volleyball game. I wasn't sure how he would do, but he did OK. He was ready to go home by the 3rd match of the varsity game, but he hung in there after I promised him a sucker when he got home! Bribery works in our house! :) The bulldogs did really well, I was pleasantly surprised. Hopefully they will have a good season. I see they lost last night but they were all close games.
Wednesday night I had my monthly ladies poker night. Micah sure wanted to come with, he wanted to play cards!! The entire day Thursday he thought I was playing cards because he went to bed before I got home and got up after I had left for work. Thursday AM, he woke up and shortly after he was awake he became a mess. I guess he was crying so hard he was almost hyperventilating. Craig finally called me at work so I could talk to Micah. I tried to get him to calm down, but I don't think it did much good. Not sure what that was all about because I guess he seemed to be fine all day at daycare. Who knows.. I guess we all have bad days too!! :)
Last night, we took him to the park. He loves the park!! All you have to do is say the word "Park" and his little eyes light up! He knows exactly what it takes to get ready to go to the park. He will start in his room, getting his shoes and socks. So we put them on, then he will go get his hat and sunglasses. Next is picking up mommy's shoes and handing them to her for her to put on her feet. After that, he will go get dad's shoes out of the closet and bring them to him. Next stop fridge for his cup of water and then out the door. It is so funny to watch and all the while he will be saying, "Park, Park Fun, Park, Slide, Park Swing" Oh how he loves that park!!

On the agenda this weekend, tonight possibly Sioux Falls to Menard's for materials. Tomorrow night we have a wedding reception and dance to attend. Sunday is my bi weekly grocery shopping in SF. Fun Fun stuff I tell ya!!!

What a fun little guy you have there. Caymen and him are doing very similar things as they are the same age.

Cute picture!!
