We had an excellent weekend! Friday night we headed up to Lake Poinsett to camp with our friends, Bill and Monica. We managed to get up there early enough to enjoy some time together and a ride out on the boat. It was a beautiful night and really enjoyed the relaxation of just sitting around the fire and visiting.
Here are a few pictures from Friday evening.
Awe Man, the worm pooped on my hand!!
After we all were up and ready, Monica made a delicious breakfast. Then we were off to go fishing again! We still didn't have much luck so it was decided we would go get the water skis and tube! Craig took the first plunge!

It's my turn to get into the water. I decided to stay away from the skiing, I am not 100% sure if my reconstructed knee should be tested like that. We will see someday I am sure, but this day was a tubing day!
Here goes nothing!!
All in all it was a great weekend all around and we had alot of fun. The kids all had a blast playing together and just hanging out.
Saturday night we finally arrived at home between 5 & 5:30 PM. Micah was sacked out so we quickly unloaded the truck. We decided it was a great night to go to the races to watch Matt race. So, we loaded up and headed to Hartford.
It was great this year because Micah could actually pick out Matt's car! Before it was really hard for him to know which one was Matt because he didn't know his colors. Piece of cake this year!! Micah was so excited to see Matt on the track!!!

Matt did very well, he ended up second and maintains the points lead for the season to date. Micah thought it was the coolest thing ever that #9 Micah Schliemann won the sprint car race. Micah kept saying, "I WON, I WON!" Thought that was pretty cute. Micah also has a connection to Micah Schliemann that he doesn't even know about. Ever wonder how we decided on the name Micah for our son. We heard it over the intercom at Lake County Speedway years before we actually decided to have kids and both fell in love with it. It stuck with us and when he was born, it was no questions asked going to be Micah. (Just a little bit of history)
Sunday, I did my bi-weekly grocery shopping and the rest of the day was spent hanging out around the house and veg. That is all we did this weekend. I am pretty sure our activities are going to be cut down from here on out. We have to get working on the house and our weekend activities have to be put on the back burner in order for all that to happen. It is for the greater good! :-) Have a great week!

We skiied and tubed last year. It looks like so much fun!! We probably won't get to it this summer :( I LOVE the races!! Does Micah wear ear plugs? My kids love the noise!
Looks like a great time! I love tubing, but not so much the skiing! :-) Tell Micah hi for me!!
