Typical

This week was a typical week for us. We had story time on Monday night and Craig did some work at the church. Tuesday night ended up being a down night as Micah decided not to take a nap that day and fell asleep at the supper table at 6:30! We let him sleep for an hour or so and then it was time to get up! He had a webcam visit with Grandma Jenny and Grandpa Mike that evening. He loves visiting with them on the computer! He told them they had to bring Grandpa Mikes race car here for is birthday! He said they could get here fast if they drove it! Humm.. The innocence of a child! We did decide that possibly we can do a webcam with them during his party so that is something for him to look forward to! Wednesday night ended up being a work night. We mowed and trimmed trees. We had a few trees that were in need of some TLC as they were quite overgrown. It looks much better! Thursday night we had a marriage class through church and Micah had a chance to play with his besties Wyatt, Lizzie, T & J. He was super happy about that opportunity! After our class our pastor and his wife came over the see our house project (Oh brother! ha) I am pretty certain they didn't know what they were in for! While they were here Micah was playing Mario Bros on the Wii. He was showing them how it works by stomping on the mushroom men and squashing them. He missed one and proceeded to chase him down. I told him, "It's ok Micah, just leave him alone and keep going!" He proceeded to say, "No, I'm going to BEAT his ASS". Oh my golly, can you say crawl in a hole? I have never hear him say this before and he said it like he was a seasoned pro at cussing like a sailor! Needless to say, Mario Bros promptly stopped and he was given a time out which he was not happy about! We can only laugh about it because honestly, the timing of it could not have been worse but yet it was funny none the less. Kids I tell ya, they say the darnedest things at the most inopportune times!
Friday night we decided it was a good night to go see the new Toy Story 3 movie! Micah was SUPER excited to see this movie as you can all imagine. It was a good movie and I am pretty sure we will be purchasing that when it comes out.
Saturday was a day of groceries and R & R. We really didn't get much accomplished other than Craig cleaning his truck, getting Micah's new pool set up and just hanging out as a family. I guess Craig and Micah went to the library in the AM as Clifford the big red dog made a special appearance! I heard it was a good time and Micah enjoyed himself.
Today is father's day and we are spending time together. We went to church this AM, Micah just finished swimming, Craig finished putting tie down D hooks in his truck and we are getting ready to eat dinner. Not sure what the rest of the day has to hold but we are going to enjoy our time together. We might be alittle tired as we had some dang birds in our soffits last night that kept us awake! It was so bad, I ended up going to Micah's room and sleeping in there! I don't think Craig got much sleep in there! Ughhhh, we have to get this house finished!!!
