My 35th Birthday

On July 9th, it was my birthday. I can't believe it, but I turned 35! Crazy to think not so many years ago I thought 18 was old!! (Ok so it was many years ago!) For supper we went over to some friends of ours. She hosted a Mystery meal. If you have no heard of this before, welcome to the club!! When you get there, you get a menu. The menu is all in code words, you can try to figure them out but for the most part, nobody knew what they were ordering! It was a 7 course meal and you ordered 3 items per course. It was hilarious to see what some people ended up with!! The first course, I ended up with a piece of cheese, a fork and a glass of water. As Craig called it, "Prison food!" lol.. There was one round that someone got salt, a fork and a napkin! The interesting thing is that you do not get to keep anything from course to course, so if you got a fork the 1st plate like I did, you don't have a fork for any of your food! You guessed it, everything became finger food! haa Pretty funny for a bunch of adults. It was an amazing time and I hope that we will do it again sometime.

The kids all ate pizza before we started and then they hung out downstairs. It was a really nice to be able to enjoy some adult company without a little man right there chit chatting! :)

Saturday we decide to install our 2 storm doors. What a chore that was! We ended up taking FOREVER to get the first one installed. I am talking like 5 hrs or more.. We bettered that record by installing the 2nd one in about an hour! WHOOT WHOOT! It definatley goes fast when you don't have to read every single line of instructions! I can say they were a lot more indepth that I thought they would be, but the satisfaction of having it done is great!!

Sunday was spent cleaning and doing food prep for Micah's birthday party the following weekend. Micah was wonderful about letting us get things done! What a blessing that was!

We installed storm doors in Colorado and it was quite the project! Sounds like you had a nice birthday. It's funny how we get older and never really feel older :) I finally changed our blog to private. I just felt like it needed to be done. I tried to find your email address to add you to the list but I couldn't find it. If you want to email me at jameyanderson@hotmail.com I'll add you to the list!
