Hello everyone! I am sure you are all busying yourselves with Christmas preparations. It seems that anyone you talk to is scrambling to finish up shopping, plans etc this holiday season. I am not sure why, but I feel Christmas stuck up on me! Yes, I know it is the same day EVERY single year but it still came out of nowhere!!
Friday, December 10th, I took the day off of work and went to Sioux Falls shopping. I was going to go on Saturday but Craig convinced me I should go on Friday since there was an incoming snow storm due to hit on Saturday. I took his advice and I was thankful!! I finished up my Xmas shopping and got groceries and headed home (8 1/2 hours later!). Oh were my feet a barking after that long day!!
Saturday we woke up to snow and wind! The plans we had for the day were all postponed until Sunday, so we spent the day decorating the tree and house. That evening we ventured out to some friends for supper and pool playing.
Sunday morning we had Micah's Sunday school program at church. This year they changed it up and asked the kids to sing in both services. I was a bit nervous about this as sometimes when Micah gets comfortable he gets - lets say - free spirited about things! It turns out my concerns were for nothing because he did excellent! He was so proud of himself, it was to cute! The first service, he stood by Chase, promptly Marsha and I looked at each other and said, Oh brother, this could be interesting. They had them walk up on stage and then they had to wait for service to begin. The boys did a good job of entertaining themselves by laughing, thumb wrestling and just being buddies. It was one of those memories I will have with me for a long time to come.
After church we headed home for a little while and then downtown to the Day with Santa. It wasn't exactly the same as years past as they didn't really have any "games" for the kids it was more coloring, decorating cookies etc. Micah didn't last long and he was bored with it so thankfully we went to Santa first!!
We ran into Elijah and she helped Micah decorate his cookie!
Then we did Micah's favorite event of the day!! We rode on the train!! This was our first time on the LeBahn Family Train and Micah loved it. When we got on the train, Micah just happened to sit right by his "girl" friend from preschool. Her name is Ava and he really likes her.Micah's smile says exactly what he thinks of Ava!
Micah by the train!
Micah, Briana & Chase by the train. Yep, they were cold!!
Monday our regular babysitter took the day off and Micah's buddy, Josiah's mom offered to watch him and Chase. He was beyond excited about going there and goodness sakes, he had a blast! It sounds like she kept those boys on their toes and busy the whole day! Micah couldn't stop talking about all the fun they had!
Cold weather Bob the Builder! :-)
On Tuesday Micah had preschool and afterwards he took the bus with Cole to his house. He spent the afternoon playing and hanging out with them. He had a great time with them and came home with a pair of their "Cars" slippers with a story attached. He "borrowed" them from Blaine since they didn't fit him anymore. I am not quite sure what all went down or what the arrangement is, but we will be returning them as soon as I can peel them out of his little paws!

Max used to LOVE Bob the Builder, that brought back a lot of memories!! That train looks really cool. Madison has a lot of things going on for such a small town! Is that where Santa was too?
Yes, that is where Santa was too. They have what is called "day with Santa" at the armory. It is put on by the Chamber of Commerce - fun for the little ones.
Looks like Micah had alot of fun!! Great pictures Tess!!
