Sunday, the 1st day of the rest of my life!

Today was a huge day for me, I was baptized at church this morning. What an experience it is to know you are dying to your old life and beginning your new life with Christ. Meanwhile, putting to death the sins of your past and receiving no strings attached forgiveness! It is truly and awesome gift and I have a new spring in my step! I think one of the greatest things I have realized through this process is that being a Christ follower still allows you to be who you are. I am not sure if I am the only person who ever thought that you had to "transform" into a different individual, but for me it was really something to sit back and realize God made me who I am and there isn't one thing he would change about little ole me! It is an awesome day indeed! Here is a little video of me getting "dunked" and let me tell you - that water was COLD! I mean COLD - I think I squealed underwater thankfully I had my nose plugged and mouth closed or I would have drank half the pool just with the inhale from shock! It was actually a great symbol of how your old self is no more. The reality of it all simply takes your breath away!
