Day 3 of our vacation! We were Grand Canyon bound! We took off about 10:00 AM for the 80 mile trip to the canyon. The weather wasn't ideal as it was raining so we were a little leary of the view we were going to witness. We arrived and the view was less than ideal, we couldn't see a thing! It was complete fog! 
Slowly but surely it started to lift!

After that we decided to pack up and head out. We ended up stopping at an IMAX theatre just south of the grand canyon. It was showing a movie about the canyon itself. This was Micah's first movie and he loved it!! We all really enjoy IMAX theatre's so it was a good night. After that we headed into Williams, AZ to our hotel. Day three was undecided at that time. We tossed around many ideas such as Sedona, AZ, just hanging around Williams or heading back to Las Vegas. We were really waiting to see what the weather was like as it was forcasted to be rainy.

After the fog lifted we had a few hours of great weather! Then, the rain came. We decided to get into the car and drive the "Desert View" road. It was a nice trip with some great outlook points! As we got closer to the end, there was no view left of the canyon, but we managed to enjoy ourselves!

At the end of the desert view drive, they have a look out tower. It was very tribal and had lots of really neat art work inside on the walls. This is a picture of one of them.
While at the top of the tower there was a ceremony of thanks being held. This is a lady whom had a large crystal bowl in front of her. She proceeded to strike the bowl three times (Once for Man, Woman and Creator). Then she ran her striker around the the outside rim of the bowl and it made the most unbelieveable sound! It increases steadily in volume which was amazing! The gentleman in the background with his head bowed, later did a tribal song (The "Eagle song") while beating his drum and singing. I believe he made referenence to the Lakota Tribe. It was very very moving and it was a pleasure to witness such a thing.
