Vacation Day #6

Day 6 - Memorial Day

First off all, thank you to all who have served our country and given the ultimate sacrific. We as American's are forever indebted to you for your service. Secondly, thank you to all who have served and continue to do so in order for us to maintain our freedoms as we know it. Thirdly, take a moment to think of all the people we know who have passed on to a better place. Think of the happy times and smile! It is a day of reflection, thanks and remembrance.

Our plans were to take it easy for a day. We didn't have anything major planned and it was nice to relax a little. The morning was spent hanging out at Grandma and Grandpa's house. It was a well needed break from the hustle and bustle that we get sucked into on vacation. Jenny went to a local book store and purchased Micah a early birthday present. She picked up two children's bible story books! One is Veggietales and the other has many animals in it. Micah was THRILLED!! We read some of it that night before bedtime and he was sooo excited! He even told his daddy, "God lives in my heart!" It was so precious.
After Craig and Micah took a 3 hour nap, we went down to the famous Las Vegas Strip! We mainly walked around and checked out a few different places. We parked in the MGM Grand and walked through it to find M&M world. Micah thought it was cool to see cars inside a building!! The MGM had various cars thoughout the casino. At M&M world they had a Kyle Busch car upstairs. (Boo Hiss Kyle Busch! - Haa)
Here is a picture of Micah with the car.
After that we ate supper at a food court down there. Grandma Jenny parted ways and we decided to drive over to the Bellagio to watch the water fountain show. I definately don't recommend you drive down there if you can help it! You have NO time to think, you have to turn and go with it! We managed to drive to the correct spot, but it was hairy to say the least. We managed to find our way to the front and watch the end of one fountain show and we waited a few minutes for the next. We all enjoyed the fountains greatly! It is really neat to see how they make them sync up with the music. There is something very calming about it. Micah ended up being super mad at us because we left! HE WANTED TO WATCH HIS WATER FOUNTAINS!

This is Beautiful if you get the chance to see it. The fragrance from all the flowers is amazing!! Of course Micah only wanted a picture of the Hot air balloons up in the sky! :) I am starting to think he is destined to do something with flying!
This is the ferris wheel in the conservatory. It has flowers all over it. Very pretty!
That was the end of our day. We headed back to the house after this and crashed! The next day had plans for us to hit the BOUNCY HOUSE and more of the strip!!
