Week in Review.......

On word describes this week..... HOT
I would say summer has arrived!! It took it's sweet time getting here, but wowzers it is hot and humid! We seem to be getting rain almost every night somewhere in the state, plus we have had some severe weather such as hail, tornados and strong winds. All part of the good ole SD summer!!

Monday we didn't do anything after work. We were all dragging so much from the weekend, we took the night off and relaxed. It was nice but I don't think we were able to catch up much as we were all still tired Tuesday!

Tuesday night we traveled to Sioux Falls to meet up with our friends, Eli, Dawn, Juliann & baby Trip! They are both enlisted in the Army and are currently stationed in Hawaii. Needless to say, we don't get to see them very often. When they come back to SD to visit her family, we try to get together. We decided to meet at the Carnaval Brazilian Grill for supper. I believe I have referred to this place in the past, but if you have never tried it, I recommend it highly! Like Craig stated, "It isn't just supper, it is an experience!" LOL. Very good food and it was great to visit with them plus Dawn's mom, Rose, her sister Ashley and her daughter, Anna. After eating we decided to sit out on the patio for a while and visit a while longer. The kids had fun running around with some other kids out there and all in all it was the perfect evening. At one point I looked at the time and it was 10:30 PM! Yeah, we quickly decided it was time to pack up and hit the road. It was great to see them and yes Dawn, we will try to get over there in the next 2 years.. I can't make any promises though.. Here are a few pictures from the evening..

Wednesday came and again, dragging butt.. A little before noon, I decided to take the afternoon off.. No I did not go home and take a nap! I took the afternoon and mowed the yard. It was nice to sit back, ride the mower and not worry about anything or anyone! I really do enjoy mowing but it has been a hurry up and get it done situation the past few times. This was a very nice change of pace. After that we grilled chicken chunks wrapped in bacon w/ cream cheese, mushrooms and zucchini on kabbobs. It was D licious! That was the extent of our night, we again felt like slackers and got nothing done!
Thursday we recieved a call from our trusty remodel provider in SF and one of our windows was in. You guessed it, we jumped in the truck and drove to SF to pick it up. We looked at siding colors as well but didn't make any final decisions. We then went and picked up Micah's birthday present. I know his birthday isn't until the 17th of July, but this was something I needed Craig to be there to get plus we are planning on giving it to him early. Not sure when, but when we do, I will take pictures of course.. After picking that up, we headed home.
This weekend is going to be pretty mellow. Of course it will entail working on the house and hopefully making some major progress! Sunday I am off to SF to get groceries w/ Dana but other than that we are going to stay grounded.
You all have a great weekend!! Until next time........
