In my last post, I comment that I finally had my new computer up and running. It has been wonderful to have a laptop and I am so pleased with my decision to do so. I love to be able to be mobile in our house. I would have to say so far the best feature on the computer has been the web cam. I have been able to have a few web chats with Craig's side of the family and it has been great! Most importantly though, Micah has been able to see his Grandpa Mike! He enjoyed having a web visit with him a while back and he loved it!! It will take a few more times of doing this with people for Micah to understand he has to sit still and he has to wait his turn to talk, but practice will make perfect. So, anyone else that would like to have a web cam visit, just let us know!!
Here is a picture of Micah and his web chat with Grandpa Mike!

Another thing that we have been doing quite a bit lately is playing
Candyland! Micah loves to play board games and this one happens to be his favorite right now. (Probably because this is really the only one we have so far!) Micah is even able to con his daddy into playing!!! You do have to watch Mr. Micah though, he does try to cheat from time to time!!
haa.. Seriously, he doesn't do it on purpose at this point - at least I don't think so..
Hummm.. Maybe he has me fooled.. I will have to watch a little closer next time!!
Micah and Craig playing Candyland!

Other than that, Craig is still working on the house. He has been trying to finish up some of the outside stuff prior to our full blown winter starting. He has gotten quite a bit done, but there is still plenty to do. All in due time, all in due time..
Micah and I have both been bitten at separate times by the
sicky bug. Micah had a frog in his throat, a fever for 5 days and all the cold symptoms that go with it. Cough, runny nose
yada yada yada. After getting him back on the healthy road, I was struck by the same exact thing. I was home for 5 days with a fever and everything else. It wasn't terrible per say, it is just not fun being sick period. I would however take this
sickiness over the throwing up flu
any day!! I do not have a diagnosis as to what it was, but by the symptoms it was either an Influenza or H1N1. The symptoms are so similar without doing any testing who knows. We are both on the road to recovery and Craig has escaped it so far! Hopefully his health will remain and we will get our systems built back up before something else strikes!!
This week Micah started "Smart Start Soccer". It is a fun little soccer "class" for toddlers. He was so excited! It is such a joy to see his excitement about things. His face lights up when he talks about it and to hear the excitement in his voice makes my heart full. he had a great time, however, we did learn that we have a crier on our hands. He is extremely hard on himself, he cried because he didn't know what to do. He said, "I don't know how to play this game", and "I can't do it" - all through tears mind you. After sitting back and evaluating, we realized he does not like chaotic situations and he is not a "go with the flow" type of kid. I know, I know, BIG SURPRISE!!! He likes structure and during this class, I think he was thrown off because he didn't hear the teacher telling him what to do and he felt pressure from that. After class, I asked him if he had fun and he said yes he had a lot of fun. He said he wanted to go back and we said our goal next time is to just have fun and no crying! We will see how that goes.. He will do fine, it is just going to take some adjustment. Main thing is I want him to have fun with it, good grief, they aren't doing anything competitive in this, they are just doing drills etc. After being there one time, I am sure next week will go much better as he will know what to expect!
Here is Micah stopping the ball with his foot!
Here is a video clip of what he did. I absolutely love the very beginning when he rubs his hands together. What you can't see is that his tongue is out as well. Where he got that from we have no idea but it is cute..
Another video clip. In this one they use a light weight ball so they can kick it harder.
One of Micah's favorite meals is tacos. He LOVES tacos and he has found a new love for black olives. When we have tacos, we have olives. Most people put olives on their tacos but Micah just wants a pile of olives on his plate. I was in the kitchen one night cutting our olives and Micah came in. He wanted to help, so his new job is to cut the olives with the egg slicer. He is a very good cooker as he tells me and he is a lot of help! Here are a few pictures..
Hard at work.. Cutting Olives!
Squeeze ever so softly!
Sliced and ready to go in the bucket!Halloween is tomorrow!! Yippy!! Halloween is so much fun!! Micah had his daycare party today, so he dressed up in his monkey costume from last year. He was super excited and he was jumping all around the house this morning making monkey sounds. The reason we didn't let him dress up in his "real" costume is because he is going to be a pirate, ARGHHH... He has the whole get up and I figured it wouldn't be a great idea to send him to daycare with an eye patch and sword!! LOOK OUT LITTLE KIDDIES, Micah will poke your eye out like his! Haa.. So to make it easier, we convinced him that for the "Little" Halloween party at Jolynn's he should be a monkey and for the GREAT BIG Halloween party on Saturday he can be a pirate.. Worked like a charm!
So here is a picture of our little monkey this morning. Minus Monkey pants.. He didn't want to put them on until later in the day!
I hope you have a great weekend and we will have lots things to post after the weekend!! We have pumpkin painting/carving to do and of course Trick or Treating!!! Ta Ta for now!!
