Thanksgiving

Hello everyone! I hope that all is well with you all. This year for Thanksgiving we decided to head to Nebraska to see the folks. We originally planned on leaving Wednesday night after work but soon decided to leave by noon that day so we could drive in some daylight. That morning I was watching the weather before work and it was clear we needed to leave right away if we wanted to have a stress free trip! That is what we did, we packed up and left that morning and we were very happy we did. We had rain most of the way but no slick conditions! It was def. the right decision on our part. Micah was so excited to see Grandma and Grandpa.

We headed into Lincoln on Thursday to see Linda, Donna and families. It was great to see everyone! Micah had a great time pestering everyone and playing with Kendan. We filled our tummies with turkey and pie then enjoyed visiting with each other. Here are some pictures from our day.

The next day - BLACK FRIDAY, Sandy and I were up and out the door a little after 5AM. We traveled to Seward to Walmart for the sales event. There were a couple of things I wanted to get as they were great deal. We had a good time, got some great deals and didn't have to fight a mob! We returned to the house about 8:30 and everyone was still sleeping. After everyone woke up, Grandma Sandy made pancakes for Micah since that is his favorite! He was super happy about that. We hung out the rest of the day, napped, watched TV and got caught up on Micah cuddles. For supper that evening, Les and Irma came over. Micah really wanted to watch his movie that he got from Grandma, so he convinced the guys to put it in and watch it with him. Who says guys aren't softies! He crawled up in Les's lap and watched How to Train your Dragon. Micah really liked it and has watched it many times since!

Saturday morning we packed up and headed back to South Dakota for Thanksgiving with my family. We had to be there around 1:00PM. We took some pictures before we hit the road. We were all sad to leave as it was just the R&R that we needed, but most of all Micah was sad. He loves Grandma and Grandpa and truly is heartbroken when we have to leave.

It was a good weekend and it was really good to see everyone. We will be getting together again in a few weeks for Christmas. I am excited about that and look forward to spending more time with our families.
