Day 5: Kurt and Michelle

I am thankful for my Sister Michelle and BIL Kurt. They taught me many things, but I am most thankful for the morals and values they instilled me. I know the difference between right and wrong because of them. They taught me what a loving, healthy marriage is like because I witnessed their relationship and parenting first hand. I couldn't have been blessed with better people to raise me and show me the positives in life.  

It is often hard to put into words how appreciative you are of someone.  I know that they both know I am thankful but I also think that the distractions in life sometimes interfere with relationships and expressing how I feel.  The day of October 31, 1986 everything changed in my world but two people specifically stepped up to the challenge and allowed a little girl to move in with them. It wasn't always an easy road or a pleasant road, but in the end it was the best road I could have ever asked for.  Everything I have today is because of you, my choice of a loving, caring husband is because I witnessed a loving caring relationship in our marriage.  The way I parent Micah is in large part thanks to you.  I know how important it is for a child to feel loved and receive praise for your accomplishments and direction with your failures.  I am the employee I am because I learned from you guys that my work is not my life but it is important to put in 100% effort and do the best I can while I am there.  I owe all these attributes to you guys and I am forever thankful for you opening your home and hearts to me when I needed you most.
